I have been grooming for over 20 years. I absolutely love grooming. I have  groomed all breeds of dogs, cats, rabbits and birds. I started at a corporate pet store chain and eventually opened my own business when I was 24.  I had a real Pink Poodle for many years that was my heart. Her name was Anna Nicole and she lived to be almost 20, she passed on Christmas day. I have decided to not have anymore poodles for a while, some dogs just cannot be replaced.

   My services differ from other groomers because I only work part time, that way I can have more patience and time to work on your pets. I also believe in not using the same toothbrush on every pet as it can spread diseases.  Every pet is different and one size fits all isn't my style. Senior pets must be handled very carefully as they are delicate and fragile. Puppies need to have a good first session!  Feedback is always welcomed; as I want all my clients to be happy with my services. 

 I do think most other groomers work too much, and cannot provide a safe environment because of their high levels of stress. Overworking can result in accidents and frustration when working with pets with high anxiety . It is important to me that your pet is safe and has the best experience they can. I definitely believe in humanity over vanity so don't expect me to torture your matted dog. 

  In the case of a difficult groom, I may have the owner come to help hold the animal or I may make the decision to send the pet home. Grooming is not worth risking a pet's life and if you have a hard to groom animal, please check with your veterinarian first to see if you can get medication to help calm the pet or have your vet office groom the animal. I have been bitten over the years and honestly it's not worth grooming a vicious animal. ​ I can honestly say I have never had a pet die at my shop in the decades I have been grooming.  I have a double lock system so pets do not escape as well.

 My favorite clients are the ones who follow the grooming schedule and take good care of their pets. If you're looking for a groomer who doesn't shave your pet short, I love fluffy puppies but I ask you stay on a strict 4-5 week grooming schedule. Fluffy hair and beautiful cuts take maintenance. 

   In my personal life I have rescued several horses from feedlots and placed them in loving homes.  I have rescued other animals as well but the horses are defintely my favorite. My lifelong dream is to rescue horses and connect them with people.  I am currently working on some certificates for grief work so I can work with people using horses.
